Why I Started Franky Events
Growing up, there were always people in the house. My parents loved hosting and I loved being a part of it. Imagine loud music, amazing food, and screaming kids (that was me and my play cousins). The adults would be inside jamming to music, wine coolers in hand, while we lived our best childhood lives. The happiness and joy that exuded from them is something that left an impression on me for most of my life.
I wouldn’t call myself a party animal, but I’ve always loved the feeling of being around people when they’re truly having a great time. It’s contagious and it’s healing.
The truth is, I didn’t grow up dreaming of becoming an event planner. I thought I’d be a pediatric orthopedic surgeon - top of my class, medical school bound, and decked in accolades. That dream was quickly shot down (thanks, O-Chem. I will never forgive you). So I pivoted toward something else I loved: writing. I graduated and received my pretty degree, briefly chased the dream of becoming a fashion editor, and even ran a successful fashion blog with my best friend for a few years until that season ended, as they sometimes do when you’re still figuring out who you are. And then, somehow, some way, I moved to the city I’ve dreamed about since I was 9 years old - New York City, and I accidentally landed in the events world and never left. I finally found something that fit.
Because here’s the thing: I’ve always loved systems. I love organization, process, and structure. But I’ve also always been deeply creative. Event planning gave me a space where those two parts of me could coexist and thrive.
Franky Events was born from that balance; from that need to create experiences that are both beautiful and intentional. Emotional and well-executed. Creative and clean.
Now, I get to take all the pieces of my story — the girl who grew up watching her parents host, the almost doctor, the writer, the fashion girl — and bring them to life through curated, emotionally intelligent, visually forward experiences.
I’m excited for you all to join me on this next chapter of building a company that creates meaningful experiences. Thank you for being here, and I am forever grateful for the support, and can’t wait to bring you along for the ride.
